The Goats have Arrived!!

Welcome to our newest tenants at Shaker Lane Field!  For the next week or so, our cute friends will be occupying the space along the 3rd base line while they eat their way through the brush and poison ivy.  Nothing like an eco-friendly way of clearing the invasive weeds that have been creeping closer and closer to the field every year!

Our goat friends are friendly, but please DO NOT feed them or attempt to pet them.  Apart from likely being covered in poison ivy, there is a charged fence keeping them in the area.  There is a non-wired safety fence in front to prevent anyone from accidentally coming into contact with the charged fence.  So, please, if you come to see the goats, do so from behind the safety fence.

We are trying to get a remote camera set up to monitor the goats on-line.  And, if we're able to get it hooked up, I'll post the link for people to check on the goats and their progress.

Any guesses on how many baseballs and softballs we'll find?!
